A thousand years ago in Peru, the Sicán forged a complex civilization. This exhibition features 120 recently excavated gold and ceramic objects. Discover the Sicán, an ingenious culture often eclipsed by its better-known successors, the Inca.
Organized and circulated by the Nickle Arts Museum, in cooperation with the Sicán National Museum, Peru, and the National Institute of Culture of Peru.

Dance and Music from Peru
The Embassy of Peru in Canada in association with the Canadian Museum of Civilization are organizing a charity event - Dance and Music from Peru - to raise funds for the victims of the recent earthquake occurred in Peru.
In this fundraiser event we will present traditional dances and music of Peru, performed by the Peruvian groups "Essence of Peru" and "Ayni". Furthermore, Ms. Eva Avila, recent winner of Canadian Idol 2006, will be a special guest performance on this occasion.
